The three dimensional representation of a found object might be reaching a point of critical saturation. At that point, representation would be so accurate that, like the map from the Borges story, it will omit no detail in its depiction of the described object, capturing it in its entirety of nuances and idiosyncrasies. There will be a complete overlap between the object and its representation.

This situation puts into question the notion of representation as a projection, existing independently and safely outside the represented object. One can now imagine a reality where the description of an object will no longer be external to it, but rather will coexist within it in a state of gentle equilibrium.

The following studies attempt to portray a tactile representational system, occurring in the same space and time of the described object. Singular moments within a found surface are manifested as physical, tactile entities, which are independent of the object they're portraying yet inherent to it at the same time. They serve as observations of the object while being an inseparable part of it, defining and altering its form simultaneously.
